VIRTUAL THEATRE

MUSEUM OF THE HISTORY OF BOLOGNA

Inside the Museum of the History of Bologna, in the Palazzo Pepoli, MosaicoGroup has created a Virtual 3D Theatre, viewing a movie (cartoon) which tells the story of a small Etruscan and explains the ancient Bologna, traveling through time.

MosaicoGroup, in close collaboration with Cineca, studied the environment and made the video as well as an immersive projection system.

The theatre has been developed to involve the audience in the story, acting on effects of lights and additional lateral projections, which follow the event.

The character in the video, made by Cineca, brings the voice of the Italian singer Lucio Dalla. The entire system from the projection to the highlights, from moving head projectors and audio, is handled automatically by a customized control system.

In this way, the operator could simply select the subtitle language if there are foreign spectators.
